On September 8, 2025, the Rainbow Trust Foundation (RTF), in partnership with Book Aid International, UK, Indomie Ghana, and the Lions Clubs of Ghana, proudly celebrated International Literacy Day at Prampram in the Ningo-Prampram Municipality, Ghana. The event was held under the global theme: “Promoting Literacy in the Digital Era.”
As part of the celebration, a Spelling Quiz Competition was organized to inspire young learners, encourage healthy academic competition, and reinforce the importance of literacy in today’s technology-driven world. The results of the competition were as follows:
Abia D/A Basic School – 33 points (1st Place)
Anglican Basic 2 – 31 points (2nd Place)
Anglican Basic 1 – 27 points (3rd Place)
The program brought together students, educators, community leaders, and development partners to highlight the role of literacy as a foundation for lifelong learning and empowerment. It also emphasized the need to adapt literacy initiatives to the demands of the digital age, ensuring that children and communities are not left behind.
The Rainbow Trust Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to all our partners—Book Aid International, Indomie Ghana, and Lions Clubs of Ghana—for their invaluable support in making this celebration a success. Together, we continue to advance the mission of creating educational opportunities and fostering brighter futures for children in Ghana and beyond.
